Why Nurtured Canine?

I know what you’re thinking.

You type in dog trainer and the page floods with dog training businesses. You feel overwhelmed and don’t know who to choose so you give up instead.

I can relate! Before I was a dog trainer I was a normal dog owner. I didn’t know what certifications meant, they were just a huge blob of letters to me. Scrolling through a bunch of different trainers I mean, Group classes seem the most feasible because they’re cheap and don’t require a lot of dedication to go. However, they do require a lot of homework on your end to keep it up.

So you somehow stumbled across my page on google doing the same thing I did. Maybe I showed up as an ad, maybe your friends or family recommended me to you because I’m a private dog trainer, or maybe you saw my business through social media sites like Facebook or Instagram. Now you want to know how I can help you, and what the hell IACP certified means, anyway.

I’ll start off by saying I love helping dog owners. Every dog owner. Yes, even the ones that ask a lot of questions, or are super busy but still try to make it work. Why? because it shows me you’re dedicated and that you care!

My programs and bundles are tailored to that. I know, you clicked my programs and thought holy crap, that’s a lot of money and I don’t even know this girl yet, she seems legit, she’s gone to a great school, she’s certified, but I don’t want to pay that! My kids want to go to Disneyland! There are summer vacations I want to go to in this lifetime!

Well, what if I told you my training brings you that vacation feeling every damn day. Yup. Imagine a life where your dog walks nicely beside you, walks passed distractions with ease, comes back when called, is good in the house, and doesn’t jump on anybody!

I know you got a busy life. Maybe you’re retired and you decided to get a dog, and it isn’t everything you thought it would be. Or,  you’re a busy mom or dad and have dinner to make, homework to look over, a birthday gift for that party your kid is going to, that field trip form to sign that you keep saying you’ll get to. Life is operating at mock 5 and yet the dog is jumping around because it needs to go for his/her walk.

You finally opt to take Fido for a walk but he’s pulling you down the street, jerking your arm to go sniff something without any warning, and he just lunged at a dude riding a bike. You’re tired and not in the mood. Walking your dog is supposed to be fun! It’s supposed to be a bonding time for you guys, but instead, it brought you closer to giving him to a home where he has a huge yard, acreage preferably, where he never has to be on a leash again.

The next day you decide you’re not doing leash walking anymore. You’ll let him out into a field. It’s perfect, he can run around and you don’t have to deal with the pulling. Fido runs around but he chases a rabbit and takes what feels like forever to come back. You think “YES, I can finally leash him and leave this godforsaken place” He looks like he’s running towards you, aaaand he darts right passed you and continues running.

Well, that’s definitely the last straw!

Where my programs come into play

Here’s where my programs come into play. 1 hour session a week for 5 weeks. Yes, the kiddos can be involved as well. You keep up the homework on your end until the next session. Easy homework. Short spurts here and there. Think 10 minutes here and there per day. We have to work together to get yourself a dream dog!

OR

My board + train option. I take your dog for the recommended amount of weeks and eliminate the issues you’ve been having.  Then we do a 2 hour go home session and you keep up with the training to build a stronger foundation every day with your dog. I always want your dog to be better!

If the training isn’t where you wanted it to be and it has to do with any of the programs within the bundle, and you’ve been putting in the work, I give you more time FREE of charge! Yes, that’s right, FREE. However much more time we need to get you where you want to be, for free.
